Sandalwood (Santalum spicatum) Sandalwood is a slow growing tree, taking up to 60 years to mature. It has been over-harvested and is in danger of extinction in the wild. The traditional Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) has been used for centuries as incense. We carry a sustainably grown Australian Sandalwood with similar properties. The scent is soft, woody, balsamic and sweet. Aromatically, this oil is calming and grounding. Topically, Sandalwood is excellent as a moisturizer.
